Wildwoods Convention Center | 4501 Boardwalk | Wildwood, NJ

This gala event draws Coast Guard personnel and their families from throughout the region. The black-tie celebration transitions from sophisticated and formal to all-out-dancing fun over the course of the evening. As part of a special partnership, members of the community are invited to join the festivities.  A limited number of tickets are available.

Coast Guard Community Festival

Training Center Cape May  | 1 Munro Ave. | Cape May, NJ

Festival goers will explore the extensive TRACEN base on foot and by trolley, get an inside look at US Coast Guard vessels and view a Coast Guard helicopter up close. The Coast Guard Recruit Band and drill team will give engaging performances and US Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City will conduct thrilling search and rescue demonstrations. There will be tours of Cape May Harbor, children’s activities, interactive displays, vendors, food, beer, live music and cultural and historical exhibits. FREE

Opening Reception | April 14 from 3-5pm

Browse the works of local artists on display in the terrace area of the award winning Mad Batter Restaurant. The exhibit is part of the Mad Batter family’s ongoing support of the artist community. Proceeds from the sale of art will benefit the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation.

Cape May County Museum Exhibit

Museum of Cape May County | 504 U.S. 9 | Cape May Court House, NJ

Opening Reception | May 1st at 7 PM

“Always Ready: Always Here” will open with a special evening reception May 1st at 7 p.m. for Museum membership and the public alike. On May 2nd , the exhibition will be opened to the public for general tours and will run throughout the summer season, closing on Sept. 27. Visitors can access the gallery portion of the exhibition at no charge from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Self-guided tours of the Smith Barn are $5 per person. Exhibit opening reception is free and open to the public.

The displays will showcase the USCG and its predecessors and their role in the history of our county. Surrounded by water on three sides, every municipality, township and borough has been a recipient of the services provided by the Coast Guard and its predecessors.

U.S. Life Saving Station Program, 7 PM

Ocean City Life Saving Station | 4th St & Atlantic Ave | Ocean City, NJ

Before our modern Coast Guard was established, the U.S. Life-Saving service rescued shipwrecked mariners and passengers. Join John Loeper to tour U.S. Life Saving Station 30 in Ocean City, a stunningly restored 1886 building with gabled roof and lookout tower, and then learn the history of the Life-Saving Service in Cape May County. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is free and open to the public!

2019 Sunset Parades

Training Center Cape May

Sunset parades are colorful, inspiring military ceremonies featuring the Recruit Precision Drill Team, marching troops, and cannon fire. They take place at sunset on the Training Center’s Parade Grounds, are open to the general public, and there is no admission charge. Children are welcome to attend, but should be accompanied by an adult.
